Using the Xerox Document Scanner
Do you just want to make a copy of a document, but don't want to go through the hassle of scanning then printing? There is a copy machine located in the CGC directly to the right of the Xerox plotter.
The maximum amount of copying is 15 pages at a time.
Only 8.5 x 11 sized paper.
Only scans up to 300dpi (higher quality must be used at other scanners).
-
Place your document into the scanner on the top, face up.
- There are three options that you can choose; Black and White, Color, or Scan.
- If scanning, once you have physically scanned your article it will be located in the cgc_scan folder. Click here for instructions on connecting to CGC Scan Folder
- Once you have retrieved your file, please delete the file from the folder.
- Once you have chosen the type of document you wish to copy, just simply press the designated button and the machine will begin running.
- **If the blue light is flashing it will take a minute to warm up.
- The machine will then run through each of the pages until each has been scanned through.
- Once it has completed, you must then walk over to the printer queue machine and check your document, (it will say "cgcscan" as the username.)
- Your copy will be printed out from the designated printer you have chosen.
Copies cost the same amount as black and white and color documents printed from computers.
