In addition to being a place where students can go to get work done, the CGC also serves as a support desk for the following:
- Connecting to the University Wireless Network (Mac) || (Windows)
- DAAPSpace Related Problems
- Scheduling/Reserving Rooms and Equipment
- Hardware issues related to DAAP or UC owned equipment
- General advice on computer issues
Unfortunately, we are unable to perform any hardware modifications to computers not owned by the University of Cincinnati or the College of DAAP. We are not a licensed Apple or Windows repair shop, and therefore any work done would void your warranty.
If your problem is something pertaining to your office or classroom you can create a Support Ticket
by logging onto your DAAPSpace account, and selecting "Support" (listed under "Tasks"). You can also come down to the CGC and have an employee create a support ticket for you. Tickets are dealt with on a triage-based system, meaning those that are the worst and affect the most people take priority.
If you'd like to reserve a room or equipment for a class, you can go to DAAPSpace and select "Reserve Equipment/Room" and fill out the appropriate fields. Or, you can come down to the CGC and have an employee create a reservation for you.
Finally, if you need help with connecting to the wireless Internet, you can come to the Help Desk desk anytime during regular CGC hours and they will be able to help you.
