Located in suite 4440-4470 Aronoff, the photo facility provides the resources for the support of the current DAAP photography curriculum. The facility provides DAAP photography classes with equipment for image making in traditional color and silver based black and white photography, digital color management and digital printing.
The facility houses a complete photographic laboratory, print finish area, digital print area and two photography shooting studios.
Additionally, general DAAP Equipment check out /av is housed within the photo facility and operated by the photo facility staff.

Photography equipment is available to students enrolled in or having completed a DAAP photo course.
DAAP upperclassmen who demonstrate college level photographic skill and knowledge may request access to the photo labs without enrolling in or completing a DAAP photo course. A lab fee is charged and access is dependent upon knowledge, skill level and the schedules of the photography classes.
There are two ways for DAAP upperclassmen to gain access to the photography shooting studios. DAAP professors may schedule an orientation for their entire class by contacting the lab supervisor. And, secondly, DAAP upperclassmen may individually sign up for an orientation. These orientations are held within the first 4 weeks of each quarter. Scheduled orientations are announced quarterly on daapspace, DAAP TV monitors, and on the bulletin board outside the photo facility.
A bit of advice: Don't wait until the last minute! Come early in the day to shoot. The shooting studio is not usually busy at the beginning of each day. However, it sometimes gets backed up at the end of the day, especially at the end of the quarter.
Daytime hours
There are no sign-ups or reservations made for the studios during Monday through Friday daytime hours. Users will be given access on a first-come, first-served basis. Usually there is little or no wait.
Evenings and Weekends
During the evening and weekend hours (as announced on the bulletin board outside of the photo labs 4440-4470 Aronoff) students may sign up for shooting studio time on the sign up sheets.

The photo facility responds to student need for use of the lab by increasing the 'open' hours each week as the academic quarter progresses. The photo facility is closed during quarter breaks.
Please refer to the calendar posted quarterly on the bulletin board outside the lab for current hours.
